My family is my whole world

Mason is now 18 months old and got his first big boy hair cut! He was so well behaved while mike used the clippers. Can't believe he's growing up so fast. He will tell me something, and I repeat to him what I think he wants. If I get it right he says, "yayyyyyy!" Or "yes". If I get it wrong he says "uh-uh" and nods his head. It just melts me every time. Simply adorable.

Ellie got a "pen pal" package from her cousin, Drew. She got started right away. Little sis was a bit jealous, so mom made her a box of supplies to make cards with too.

This little girl is sure growing up. She is getting to be a lot more fun to be around :) It's neat to see how different her and Ellie are. We like to do puzzles together and read lots of books while Ellie is at school.

She has also taken up teasing Mason and making him scream and cry as a new hobby. She's not trying to be mean really, she just treats mason like he's her own doll to manipulate.

It's sure heart warming to see daddy and his son together. They definitely have a different and special relationship than Mike and the girls do. Mason loves daddy's truck. And everyday when mike leaves for work, Mason has to walk him out to his truck to say good-bye.

Mason is one!

We had such a low key birthday for this boy. It was all I could manage at the time. Sorry third child. I know how it is!
He loved the birthday candle and he tried to blow it out but couldn't get the air pushed in the right direction.

He ate the cake pretty well, but didn't like the feel of the frosting on his hands.

Showing that he's ONE!!
We love you mason!!

Busy

For the past 2 weeks we have been busy with either swimming lessons for the girls, or my guitar class every night.

I am taking guitar to count as a credit to renew my teaching license. I'm not planning on teaching again any time soon, but I need to keep it up "just in case". Playing guitar is a lot harder than I thought! My pointer finger is constantly numb from pressing down on the strings so hard. I don't think guitar is something I'm going to pursue :)

Ellie and Reagan are in the same swimming lesson class and are loving it! They are finally putting their faces in the water. Progress has been slow. They already ask daily to go swimming.

That's when we bust out this little thing. They mostly just like to pour water around.

April happenings

This little boy will be one on the 11th! That's in 4 days, people!! It can't be right. He is still my baby! He is not interested at all in walking - he will stand by himself for a few seconds here and there and cruises along furniture a tiny bit. He still nurses about 4 times a day. He is the best lil cuddler, and is SO sweet. So seriously, he can't be one.

Reagan is 3. It is super fun to see her personality come through and SHINE - especially when the big sister isn't home, teasing her endlessly. She is. Lot of fun and is so funny!

Ellie is growing up way too fast. She is a fabulous reader and a great help around the house. She tells me many times a day that she loves me 100, and that I am her best friend. She has the first three articles of faith memorized and totally showed up the 10 year old boys in primary when she recited the 3rd one during sharing time :)

We recently got a membership to the new children's museum and are excited to go there tons. The kids were all enthralled! Anybody else want to come with?

The kids enjoyed a trip to chuck e cheese recently. Reagan keeps regressing with the whole potty training deal so I use the reward charts online from chuck e cheese to bribe... I mean, reward her for using the potty. They have charts on there for everything. Each child with a completed chart receives 10 tokens.

Growing up, my mom ALWAYS made homemade pizza. I can recall only ONE time when we ordered it (only because we were coming into town late and had guests or something). So I have known for a long time how to make pizza and have done it many times - but not since mason was born. I recently went to a bread class with my in-laws and the pizza making flame was rekindled. It's so good! Easy. And my kids love putting all the toppings on. My favorite topping is big leaves of fresh basil. So yummy!

We are growing a garden! I really hope the veggies grow! We planted radishes because they grow so quickly, then impatient children can harvest them while all the other veggies take forever to grow.

We love our family!

6 months old!

The last time I posted, this baby was just born!! Now he's 6 months old today!

He is 20 lbs! A lady at the store guessed that he was 10 months old. He sure looks like it!

Mason has 1 tooth and loves to chew on everything! He is just now starting to like oatmeal cereal and likes carrot baby food too!

Ellie and Reagan are still all over this boy and in his face. He has learned how to pull hair as his defense.

Mason wants to be held 90% of the time he's awake. He doesn't get it, but that just results in a lot of crying. When we go to pick him up he stops screaming immediately. Seriously. Immediately!!! He's totally in control. And a lot of the time he will smile or even laugh too! He can go from screaming to smiling In 2 seconds. He's such a turkey.

Mason loves having his diaper changed. He giggles when I open up his diaper and find it messy. Ya. It's hilarious. :) he also loves to have his clothes changed. I think he's happiest while he's on the changing table.

He loves bath time and his sisters always want to join in the fun and either get in with him
or help wash him. He's a bit smothered by them.

Toes are the yummiest!!

Mason takes good naps in the day but still wakes up in the night to eat. Can't you tell that he's starving?!

Here's mike's baby photo I'm guessing about the same age.
Definitely some resemblance! Everyone always tells me how much he looks like Mike.

This kid needs a lot of attention but we sure do love him!!

The girls meet Mason

Here are some more photos. Grandma and Grandpa Kanet brought the girls by to meet Mason.
