Jazz Game

One of the biggest perks in Keith's job is the fabulous tickets he gets. Over the years we've been to concerts, plays, all types of sporting events, professional bull riding, Disney on ice, etc. Recently he scored some seriously great tickets to the Jazz game. There was a nice V.I.P. dinner before hand and then we watched the game from these fabulous seats! Second row under the basket. I'm talking about the black folding chair seats on the floor! We seriously could have thrown our popcorn at the players bench, we were that close! We even entered the arena from below. We walked right past the locker room! It was pretty fun! We even made the news! A shot of us talking behind the players as they warmed up!

BTW Gordon Hayward is my favorite player! Isn't he adorable! I love how clean cut and innocent he looks compared to all the other tattooed players! I got a high five from him as they were leaving the court!

Hannah was invited to be on a competitive dance team this year. She does jazz, ballet and lyrical dance. They are a cute group of girls. They did an amazing number to some music from Planet of the Apes. I think she's very talented! It's been a big dedication of time (and money)! :) We are proud of her! Way to go Hannah!

A Christmas tree, Santa and fireworks?

It's always fun and a little challenging to decorate a new house for the holidays! We did not have to rent a boom to put up our Christmas lights! :) Keith just used a ladder. I think it turned out very quaint!

Because of the lower ceilings we had to be careful when picking out our Christmas tree too!

We picked the perfect size! (And shorter trees are less expensive! Bonus!)

Our neighbor invited us to a dinner at her church and Santa came on a fire truck! Elle was not having it!

Even when he wasn't holding her she still thought he was suspicious!

Afterwards there were firework!

It was amazing! I've never watched fireworks in the winter!

Let alone when it was snowing outside!

Very fun, very cool!

A Snowy Day

We haven't had a lot of snow this year so when we did get some, we took advantage of it!

Jack and Elle love to play in the front while I shovel the driveway. Jack likes to help, he even has his own shovel! In our old house the HOA shoveled! I miss that! Maybe I should just learn to use the snow blower! :)

We took Elle for a ride around the circle on this sled! Boy that was a workout!

We were still playing when Hannah and Nick walked home from school!

Ok we played in the snow, now melt! I'm ready for spring!

Thanksgiving 2013

First of all Jack's preschool teacher is adorable! He comes walking out to the car with more costumes then any of my others kids did! It always makes me smile, almost as big as he does!

My parents have started having Thanksgiving at their church building because there are just so many of us!

We did some fun games and crafts,

played with toys,

and hung out with cousins!

Elle was excited to run around and cause chaos!

Jack saw me making the post about Elle and asked why there weren't any pictures of him. I dedicate this post to my sweet boy who makes me smile, laugh and cry all in the same day! I love you Jack!

Karate, Jr. Jazz & Indoor Soccer (in that order!)

Jack started Karate. He loves it and jumps up and down during every class with this crazy grin on his face like he's in 7th heaven. It's hilarious to watch!

But at the same time he's pretty bad a%#!

Hannah has discovered that she really likes basketball. She is currently playing on an all girls Jr.Jazz team. She scored 6 points her first game! Maybe it's because her Dad bought her some sweet Michael Jordan high tops! :)

Indoor soccer is a better speed for our boys as opposed to outdoor. There is less running because the field is smaller and there is also no goalie which is a plus! Jack scored 2 goals in one game!

They both had very successful seasons and are starting another one soon!

Are Your Kids This Crazy?!?

I know this is going to sound awful, but one thing I do not miss about our old neighborhood is the doorbell constantly ringing (& waking up my baby) and neighborhood kids wanting to play at our house.

My kids almost never ask to play at other peoples houses.

I consider myself very blessed & lucky that they love each other, get along and play together so well!

I joke that Hannah is our "activities director". She is always putting together some sort of experience for herself and her brothers.

Where did they even learn to do yoga? It's not like I do it! :)

When we moved into our new house they played outside together for days. They only came in for potty breaks and food! And I secretly love that there are almost zero kids other than mine in this new neighborhood! It's so quiet and peaceful. And if the doorbell rings it's probably the Fed Ex man!

What do you get for a baby who's turning one and has everything?

A car seat? I know boring right? This girl literally has zero needs and zero wants but when you know it's your last you can do crazy things like buy a "girly" car seat or a purple stroller!

This year has literally flown by. Why do the days seem so long,

but the years seem so short?

Get a good look at her cake because it's about to disappear!

Seriously in 2 bites it vanished! She inhaled it and loved it!

We were long overdue for some family pictures. The last time we had them taken Jack was a baby. So even though it stressed me out I'm glad we got them done.

Elle was so sweet and cooperative! I'm glad we did these before she started walking!

We got her to smile by singing "What Does the Fox Say"!

I know I've said it a million times but Jack is completely crazy! He has the most outrageous smile! It is contagious!

Nick is such a handsome stud! I love this little man!

And I can't believe how grown up and beautiful Hannah is becoming!

Halloween 2013

All my kids have worn this costume when they were babies. We have a picture of Hannah sitting by a pumpkin and she and Elle look so alike!

The kids had a great time trick or treating in our new neighborhood too!

UEA in IF

For UEA this year Keith's plans were to work on the house. We were finally going to install the new front doors, so I didn't want any distractions. I took the kiddos and drove up to Idaho to spend a few days with my sisters and their sweet kids!

We had a great time staying with Melanie and her family! Thanks Liza for giving me your bedroom! One afternoon we hit Café Rio and then a pumpkin patch.

It was really fun! There was a huge mountain of hay you could climb...

a train ride...

and lots of pumpkins to pick....

some were heavier than others!

Everyone got to pick their favorites and later that day we painted them at Aunt Emily's!

Have I mentioned that Jack cracks me up? He is so determined!

We also stopped by the Idaho Falls River and did some exploring. It was a gorgeous fall afternoon.

Later that night we had a BBQ with everyone and roasted smores in the backyard! We love Idaho and the people we know who live there!

Jack LOVES preschool! It's his 2nd year and he wasn't even going to let me walk him in on his first day! I insisted!

And he LOVES this lady too! Miss Janene! She is a saint!

Nick started 2nd grade this year!

He really likes his teacher too! Miss Yost. She looks like she's in 2nd grade as well! But is super sweet and fun!

Hannah started the 4th grade!

She is on the student council this year! We are very proud of her!

Mrs. Comer seems like she is going to be fun and Hannah will learn a lot!

Here's to the 2013-2014 school year!

(The best part of moving is that we can walk to and from school now!-It's fabulous & this little lady never gets woken up in the morning or from her afternoon nap! Hallelujah!)

The Little Mermaid

Hannah did a fun theater camp this summer with her good friend Enya!

They did a production of The Little Mermaid. Hannah was one of Ariel's sisters. She even had a short solo.

They did a wonderful job and it was a beautiful summer night! Way to go girls!

The 24th of July-Pioneer Day

I think it's become a tradition to go to the Bee's game for the 24th of July.

It's not really about the baseball game....

it's more about the yummy snacks we get at the baseball game!

And of course the fabulous fireworks after!

The kids talked us into going down on the field to watch them this year!

All About Keith!

My husband is a "spud", I mean stud! In July he did the Spudman Triathlon up in Idaho.

He totally killed it on the swimming and biking part. The running was a little harder! But he did awesome! We are so proud of him!

For his big 38th we went to Leatherby's and consumed every calorie he burned off during the Triathlon!

The kids were in heaven!

Elle is a lover of ice cream too. Me? Not so much, a little lactose intolerant. But it wasn't my birthday!

Nick's 7th Birthday!

On July 5th 2006 this guy was born! It was a good day for the Nigbur family!

We decided to celebrate at Chuck E. Cheese!

Followed up by presents and chocolate donuts at home!

(Elle thinks we should do this more often!)

Nick also had a party with his friends at Aunt Keri's swimming pool!

Subway lunch, ice cream sandwiches and lots of games and fun!

A very successful 7th birthday indeed!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! Don't we look patriotic?

We prepared for the ward breakfast/bike parade by decorating a bike, a scooter & the wagon!

It was a hit!

That night we did some sparklers and fireworks with several neighbors.

Fun was had by all!

Elle loved the fireworks and wasn't afraid one bit!

Cabin 2013

Now I swear I'm not complaining but because of the house remodel the family cabin was the ONLY vacation our family took this summer. No St. George or California or anything else! :( So we tried to make the most of it! The kids always have a good time hanging out with their cousins and getting dirty out in nature!

We hiked to the waterfalls....

cooked hot dogs & smores over a campfire and did lots of other fun things.

Elle made friends with this adorable puppy! Aren't they sweet? Jack asks almost everyday when are we going to the "cavin" again?

The Best and Worst Summer Ever!

So we made of the biggest and best decisions of our lives this summer! We decided to buy Grandma Dottie's house, remodel it and move in!

Boy talk about a project! It completely consumed our summer! But in the end it was worth it!

We knocked down a few walls, remodeled all the bathrooms, painted every square inch of the house, put in all new doors, new trim and new closets, and we laid all new flooring...and a ton of other crap that I'm forgetting!

The kids got to pick out the colors for their new bedrooms and help paint them.

They were big helpers and tried to be patient about how much time it took!

It was a huge adventure!

Poor Elle was an "remodel orphan" and cried every time we went to the house because it meant she was going to be confined and ignored! :)

But all the credit really goes to this guy. He worked his tail off. He went to work everyday and then went to work on the house every night. His 2 brothers Ken & Kraig were life savers and there was NO way we could have done it without them! (I wish I had taken their picture!)

We are almost done. This summer we are going to work on the yard, deck and garden! But the inside is beautiful and we love it! It's our new home sweet home!

Cousin Kash

So the cousins on the Nigbur side of the family were all considerably older than our kids, until now! Welcome to the world cousin Kash!
