Natural Bridge State Resort Park

We were able to check out Natural Bridge State Resort Park near Slade, Kentucky a few weekends ago. It is about 100 miles south-east of Cincinnati. It was beautiful! Bryce did a great job hiking over 2 miles, by himself! We didn't carry him at all. No excuses for not walking to the library himself. Aubrey was great too. I carried her in a moby wrap.

There were A LOT of stairs. But, stairs are a lot easier than slippery leaf-covered slopes.

Morgan's Wedding

My cousin Morgan had a beautiful outdoor wedding while we were in Idaho. Here are some snapshots of after the wedding.

Activities in Idaho

Four-wheeling at Mesa Falls. Aubrey and I stayed at the car and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the trees.

The kids and I went with my family to Jenny Lake, on the other side of Jackson, WY. It was so beautiful and we had fun on a little hike and watching Bryce and Woodson play in the water in their underwear (sorry, no pictures).

It was wonderful to be at home for a while. We really had a great time.

I love the smile on Aubrey's face in this picture. The dress is the blessing dress all of my sisters and I were blessed in and my sister Elyse made the headband and found the shoes. My family members were lifesavers getting everything ready for the blessing since we arrived in Idaho the night before! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

My sister Claire was able to come out for a visit and to help me out while Jess was out of town for a conference. It was sooo good to have her visit and I wish she could have stayed longer!

We took Jess to the Louisville airport and then spent some time seeing Louisville--Claire's pick was to go to Churchill Downs. The kids did great, thank goodness!

Baby Shower

Wonderful friends of mine here in Cincinnati put together a lovely baby shower for little Aubrey. It was a lot of fun!

I am so impressed--Rebecca painted these rooms in her house during the day and hosted the shower that evening!

Jen, a fellow nurse, guessed closest in my favorite game of cutting a piece of yarn as large around as you guess the pregnant belly is.

Knitting Socks

A friend of mine, here in Cincinnati for the summer, is helping me learn to knit socks. It is so fun! Here is the first one, in progress. It is now finished and the 2nd one is started!

We had a nice 4th of July. We went to two parades, a party at a park, and watched fireworks at another nearby park that night. Bryce was an excellent candy snatcher at the parades. By the second parade, he really had it down. :)

The fire trucks were his favorite.

Ride the Ducks

Last year we bought tickets on Groupon to "Ride the Ducks" in Newport, KY and Cincinnati. Well, last year when we bought them (towards the end of the season), there ended up not being enough water in the Ohio River, and the remainder of the excursions were cancelled... Sooo--they hooked us up with vouchers for this year!! We went on a hot Saturday, and had a great time (since I got wet when the "duck" hit the water, which kept me cool)!

Ahhh! Spider! Bryce loves finding bugs. When he spots one he has to show it to me and then he says, "Should we kill it Mama?"

Helping me with my re-upholstery "project." It is DONE and I should will put some before and after pictures on here eventually...

Cool dude! Jess and I went to a movie in 3D and Jess brought his glasses home for Bryce. When Bryce found out he could have had 2 pair, he was really upset that I had recycled mine...

Nothing better than eating breakfast in 3D.
