Wonderful Trip

I just got back from Pendleton on Sept 19th.  It was a wonderful time.  The highlights were spending time with my sisters.   Toni and Laurie and Mom at the wedding in Portland.  Toni and Carlos and Mom and I went to dinner and spent time at her house.  She then came to Pendleton and spent time the Mom and Pam and I.  I loved every minute. It was so good to be with each other again.
Laurie came the next week and helped Mom in her store.   Bob joined us later on Saturday.  We ate pizza, had Spanish food and just visited, another great time together.
Pam and I relaxed at night.  I'd sit in the chair next to her bed and if she wasn't sleeping we'd talk.  I was glad I could be with her.  It was just good being there.
Mom and I didn't get to spend much time together, but I loved the time we did.  I'll add some picture soon.    We  missed Michelle, but she was relaxing at a resort with Steve and I think she enjoyed that.

Books help get through Winter Months

This month I read five books all very different.  I read  Crescendo,Undaunted, Poison Study, Daniel and Nephi ,To the Rescue Thomas S Monson and My Not So
Fairy Tale Life.   I love Thomas Monson's book, it taught me so much about him, Next would be Poison Study, it was so fun to read and I couldn't  put it down and of course Crescendo, the fallen angel series.  I think books are amazing and I can't even understand how people write the way they do.  I never read as a child or as a teenager. I never knew how entertaining and up lifting books could be.  Thank you all you wonderful authors for taking the time to write.

Camping

We just spent the weekend camping and I must say, it was very enjoyable.  We haven't been camping with the whole family for quite sometime and it was worth all the work and the cold.

Books, Books, and more Books

I have had a great time reading in the last two months.  I just finished the Gurnesy Potato Peel Pie Literacy Club, I think that's what it is called.  It was great.  The one before that was The Help.  I loved it.  I read it in two days.  I really loved learning about the South.  I already mentioned my other books earlier.  Now I am at a loss of what to read. Anyone have a suggestion?

I have just finished reading four books that I really enjoyed.  I picked two of them up at the Middle School while I was teaching.   They're very delightful to read and I think everyone would enjoy them, A Year Down Under and A Long Way From Chicago, by Richard Peck.   The last two series of Faith of Our Fathers, and finally the second  Hunger Games, which I can't remember The name, but I liked it as well. I  am going to read,  The Help next.

Update

It's been awhile since I have added anything to my Blog and a lot has happened since July. I will not try and update everything. I have been to Pendleton in September and was a tour guide for Round Up and enjoyed spending time with Michelle, Mom and Pam and seeing Brooke and meeting her boyfriend. Chuck and I then went to Alaska for a Jakson's baptism, which was very very nice. Brett and Angie treated us to the whole trip and it was so wonderful to get away from campaigning for a while. Halloween was next and I will add some pictures. We had four birthdays in October and one in November. Gregorie , Enoch and Carter celebrated together at my house. Angie and Madeline were on their own, but we were thinking of them. We have been traveling across the state and it has been fun to see all the people of this great state of Idaho. We had Thanksgiving early at my house on November 15. Everyone was here except the Lopez's and the Long's. We missed them, but the house was full and we all enjoyed our meal. We're heading out to Pendleton tomorrow to do some work for the Underground and Pam.
Well, there it is in one paragraph. Very busy life, but a good one.
Also, I was able to look at some of your Blogs today and it is so nice to view all your children and activities. Aren't families just a joy! Love you all, Gloria
