Austin was really excited to go trick or treating by having a warm up the night before at the ward trunk or treat. He quickly realized that people will just give him candy if he is wearing a costume. The only way we could get him to keep it on all night was by letting him know he wouldn't get anything if he didn't keep the outfit on. He has wanted to out and get candy everyday since and put on his pirate outfit. I think he makes a pretty cute, uh I mean tough, pirate. Hope everyone had a happy Halloween. So we saved up student loans(is that an oxymoron) and with the help of sarah's dad and the awesome discount he got us, bought ourselves a digital piano. We wanted something portable, but also useable in the future so the Kawai CA61 it is. It has been really nice to hear Sarah play and just want her to know how much I enjoy relaxing with Austin on the couch while she plays her Christmas music(have I mentioned how much Sarah is craving Christmas?). It has also been a much needed outlet for Sarah as school demands much of her time and energy. I love you sarah and thanks for the wonderful 5 years.</p></div><div class="pp_item" align="center"><h4 class="pp_title">Happy Anniversary, Merry Christmas, and anything else you wanted to buy next year </h4><img src="http://static.pixelpipe.com/c84c0e6b-e469-4af9-844e-eec1ada1da30_b.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;" /></div></div>Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525141525567164686.post-70488098796111083192009-10-21T10:00:00.001-07:002009-11-02T19:55:58.970-08:00Why such a sad face with so many pumpkins?<div class="pp_items"><div class="pp_item" align="center">He just woke up from a nap</div><div class="pp_item" align="center"><br /></div><div class="pp_item" align="center"><img src="http://static.pixelpipe.com/2dfc4642-227d-4556-a8c0-2a1d882dc29b_b.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;" /></div><div class="pp_item" align="center"><h4 class="pp_title">Nice weather</h4><img src="http://static.pixelpipe.com/117e344f-f7ef-4a17-a9ed-558ae871b5f4_b.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;" /><p>It has started to cool off and be really nice to play outside. We travelled to utah and attended sarah's sister's marriage on June 27th and her brother's marriage on July 2nd. It was a fun quick trip and we got some great photos, ties and memories out of it. It was nice to be back in utah and be able to be with Sarah's family. As for all the other pics, this is what Austin and Greg do when sarah is in school. Some are in Utah and some in Texas, but all have Sarah missing unfortuantely. She is gone to school a lot but makes time for us when she can. Sarah recently started her clinicals which means up at 4:30 am work till 5:00pm eat dinner and study till midnight and repeat. She is amazing and is doing great besides a lack of sleep and family time. Life in Texas is hot and humid but luckily Austin loves to swim and we have a pool downstairs and visit it frequently.<div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525141525567164686.post-8233350918860230802009-05-11T19:47:00.000-07:002009-05-11T19:47:10.597-07:00<div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGzsDyk8GzfodUnma7UuRHPBP_ppPU83R4CHCf03Ey1nAU1m8N82yQyqwz7Bvr6uCxLcUpNJgO_OVecMYQOi7SkHvBAgDul9EZQkBOeLkRVEPL0SSP1Sp1YeBAmFDc-QOVK6niMFusDI0/s1600-h/Hawaii+May+2009.jpg"><img border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGzsDyk8GzfodUnma7UuRHPBP_ppPU83R4CHCf03Ey1nAU1m8N82yQyqwz7Bvr6uCxLcUpNJgO_OVecMYQOi7SkHvBAgDul9EZQkBOeLkRVEPL0SSP1Sp1YeBAmFDc-QOVK6niMFusDI0/s400/Hawaii+May+2009.jpg" /></a> </div>We had a fun time in Hawaii as you can tell by the quick synapsis of pictures. We roughed it camping (one night) and I have found that I have quite the little trooper. Austin loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, the camera seems to be lost in the heap of strewn about our home. So I will have to properly document the event another time and possibly another place :). <br /><br />Despite the raiding and unkind thoughts I have experiences in regards to the MIA camera I started thinking about "Life". While I love school and am amazed at how much I have learned, I also can't even begin to explain how much it hurts to be a mother outside of home. With that said, I have decided to document some of my few precious moments being a mother.<br /><br />Greg brought me some supplies one day at Baylor. As I came to the car, I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">opened</span> the back door to give Austin a quick kiss. He then demanded, "SIT!" with a stare that would allow nothing else. So I laughed, and sat down next to him saying, "Okay, just for a minute." Just as I shut the door, Austin pointed forward and exclaimed, "LET'S GO!!". I wanted to laugh, cry, kiss and hug him all at the same time. It's not everyday your almost-two year old tries to kidnap his mother.<br /><br />Greg or I often sing to Austin just before he goes to bed. One night he was laying in my arms while I was singing the primary song "A Child's Prayer". For some reason, every time I sang the word 'speak' he would bust out laughing like it was the funniest thing that he had ever heard as he repeated the word back to me about 10 times mid laugh. <br /><br />Austin loves to run in "circles". He loves it so much, that when ever present he makes sure that "mommy circles!" too. <br /><br />The other day, it was beautiful. I talked Greg into taking Austin swimming while I studied by the pool. Afterwards (post bath) he was still shivering a little bit, so I bundled him up in a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">plethora</span> of blankets on the couch so that he looked like a human cone, and put on his favorite show "Finding <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Nemo</span>." He didn't move for like 10 minutes. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen! I wish I had taken a picture before he broke out!<br /><br />The pics have been saved!! We'll see. I started back at baylor and feel like I have enough information to keep me busy for an entire month. The highlight was the 8 hour lecture on ECG's. As boring as that sounds, I actually loved it. I'm such a nerd. <br />Austin's favorite new word....okay, my favorite new word to hear Austin say is 'turtle'. It's absolutely adorable to hear. However, flower and ma ma were hard to beat. Austin had his first big "owiee" this week. He either dove or rolled off the couch and landed on his face. His front two teeth dug into his lip creating quite the pool of blood. I felt so bad I stayed and watched baby einstien with him for a couple hours instead of going to school early to study. I'll have to thank him for that when he's older...because I loved every minute of it. I have the best son.<br />Greg is an angel and is absolutely perfect at everything. I couldn't live without him.Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525141525567164686.post-17038578484978807222008-10-10T18:00:00.000-07:002008-10-10T18:29:47.221-07:00Today....The Park!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwTyuG2RM27g6XdBjB6kuYt54QA6O2leyTXEloiwlrl_m4prJK4MRSyxBY-3b6VLeHOwEiOh2M_BWl6U6oNPzZovc9lP6PkXzZBs_qZpkJcb4_ZZS0pHNM1EOG8E7D1rneqJ6cxhhDQzQ/s1600-h/DSC00798.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255702350514342258" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwTyuG2RM27g6XdBjB6kuYt54QA6O2leyTXEloiwlrl_m4prJK4MRSyxBY-3b6VLeHOwEiOh2M_BWl6U6oNPzZovc9lP6PkXzZBs_qZpkJcb4_ZZS0pHNM1EOG8E7D1rneqJ6cxhhDQzQ/s200/DSC00798.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoLeuoxLrUexJIMbTBEMoeyReMbIXXqPc-LWuMYuYP-eMkrSDURyWyuJ9xz_yxnGDpSTpTU9NilhjrSCTLTu4ih92OxxfOyIqQ3ORSExxmMVUGBBfTmBQHA0M1blscDCF_b2xh1IUDvR4/s1600-h/DSC00799.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255701770364615090" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoLeuoxLrUexJIMbTBEMoeyReMbIXXqPc-LWuMYuYP-eMkrSDURyWyuJ9xz_yxnGDpSTpTU9NilhjrSCTLTu4ih92OxxfOyIqQ3ORSExxmMVUGBBfTmBQHA0M1blscDCF_b2xh1IUDvR4/s200/DSC00799.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUiVu2HngzXjw94Kx6_CfaZubG672_4Z9Pw7hB49SJgBPwJ6Jwqf895Vqami_4iMOEcRUFKFgmEE64sXojPubsf4Emvt-og6WwDbIOUVDcrAFnhxYtFdBBMauNhKUaLl0T7iRQl644kOU/s1600-h/DSC00801.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255701781753020386" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUiVu2HngzXjw94Kx6_CfaZubG672_4Z9Pw7hB49SJgBPwJ6Jwqf895Vqami_4iMOEcRUFKFgmEE64sXojPubsf4Emvt-og6WwDbIOUVDcrAFnhxYtFdBBMauNhKUaLl0T7iRQl644kOU/s200/DSC00801.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>Today we had a lot of fun at the park. Austin loved feeding the ducks. His talent for throwing things really came in handy. While we were feeding the ducks, some of the cutest little ducklings came over for some food. We were worried that the bigger ducks would hog it all, but soon found out that those baby ducks were a lot faster and didn't need any special treatment.<br />After feeding the ducks, we went to another area of the park that had a water play area for children. No one was there at the time, but Greg (to the dismay of all other parents in the park and to the delight of all their half naked children) figured out that it worked through a motion sensor. <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Luckily</span> we had a swim diaper and trunks in his diaper bag. Austin went nuts! He loved every minute minus when he tripped and smacked his head on the concrete :(... <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Luckily</span> the only damage was a bumped head and a small cut on his lip. He's one tough kid!<br />We all had a really fun day. It makes me realize how much I love being a wife and mother. The other day when we were having family home evening, I was reading a children's book which correlates a father buying his daughter a bicycle and the atonement. When we got to the part about Jesus, I pointed to the picture and told Austin who it was. Austin then looked at me, got up and ran to a picture of Christ we have hanging in our home, pointed to the picture, and said "Jesus". I was floored. I am so blessed to have such an amazing child.<br /><br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyqvys_GyNdowXr6P3v6RVzTv0ZlG9vGW9D6T8yjCE25bZ-14ICR49QJp1P_iK54BsCL-XAtZx_Ck-ZRh0heg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div></div>Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525141525567164686.post-356833063300396242008-10-09T20:11:00.000-07:002008-10-09T20:21:00.593-07:00Next Destination "The Children's Museum"<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHVfUOMx7NAXKHMlTNTdpn8ptMS9OeqsAHbYHIu5ruWmpKbJHG1M_tK40EP0UBP2fh9YBcsppeYPqx-i5NeZOgvAUGDKR3vwHyyvzNMkXafmdxGKydb7Ga839vwPltxRMIkhZJtPUT3NI/s1600-h/DSC00788.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255359588388167842" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHVfUOMx7NAXKHMlTNTdpn8ptMS9OeqsAHbYHIu5ruWmpKbJHG1M_tK40EP0UBP2fh9YBcsppeYPqx-i5NeZOgvAUGDKR3vwHyyvzNMkXafmdxGKydb7Ga839vwPltxRMIkhZJtPUT3NI/s200/DSC00788.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCFM5tks9ztNFXldC0xNyageGuv0aiJp8gAg0AO1HbsjS-HBBbEM4CNQi7ee9XLE3nKg2lu8ZQpeVXVwvIkzfQjHuu-hS773028CPyRuONOxSHBgT5QhYUNOQ7F1Cl1a07NMPqVi8BR90/s1600-h/DSC00790.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255359591041384210" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCFM5tks9ztNFXldC0xNyageGuv0aiJp8gAg0AO1HbsjS-HBBbEM4CNQi7ee9XLE3nKg2lu8ZQpeVXVwvIkzfQjHuu-hS773028CPyRuONOxSHBgT5QhYUNOQ7F1Cl1a07NMPqVi8BR90/s200/DSC00790.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKxjySfhHDEl8QMn2m3G9EZPTXYICwr0Il6Xf_xhNAwwLiyQQ8Oi7fPxudkwh87GCubNUrmicWza97K92s0wWCcYdFOTi30kLvNqG07xgnD0rU4nFjVQeTO9fA2PUZ83gI3BZ-pKaZzCo/s1600-h/DSC00796.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255359591806563666" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKxjySfhHDEl8QMn2m3G9EZPTXYICwr0Il6Xf_xhNAwwLiyQQ8Oi7fPxudkwh87GCubNUrmicWza97K92s0wWCcYdFOTi30kLvNqG07xgnD0rU4nFjVQeTO9fA2PUZ83gI3BZ-pKaZzCo/s200/DSC00796.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Lucky for us, Thursday night is "Free Family Night" at the children's museum. Austin has found another fun place to visit here in Houston. His most favorite was the car....he is one serious driver. He is already taking all the girls for a spin (unfortunately we didn't get any pics of that!). He hated that hand seat which I thought was awesome and couldn't pass up. Luckly we got him to sit in it long enough for the picture though. This is definately a place we will come back to.</div>Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525141525567164686.post-90246615727870277892008-10-09T20:03:00.000-07:002008-10-09T20:09:01.163-07:00We Loved the Houston Zoo!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuWOupe_RaOx9oBtm2bENl49kappt3NDttiRSyk2-TqnRvjb-WCIqblQmIOjRlB38Vte37P-QDBYvcxnPQdiWp74kLxXQ9NQK-lkRZTYOKgFlgQxV53hZ4bZi5P6qyhit_tVShfmI_aAs/s1600-h/DSC00769.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255356833329164770" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuWOupe_RaOx9oBtm2bENl49kappt3NDttiRSyk2-TqnRvjb-WCIqblQmIOjRlB38Vte37P-QDBYvcxnPQdiWp74kLxXQ9NQK-lkRZTYOKgFlgQxV53hZ4bZi5P6qyhit_tVShfmI_aAs/s200/DSC00769.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsIpY4RojB0tLq8uhQYcnxyWMzGYgDiZncPJ4lfNY_OY9SVs4m0rDSyMJdZgUw6rVVPTqf84EoSYjwacfmGuP4ovYvEvcqP53oDHScCYV2NH3CROqH8UrOp33shyphenhyphenOr7nBkIQ8jDseBn5U/s1600-h/DSC00774.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255356841245187442" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsIpY4RojB0tLq8uhQYcnxyWMzGYgDiZncPJ4lfNY_OY9SVs4m0rDSyMJdZgUw6rVVPTqf84EoSYjwacfmGuP4ovYvEvcqP53oDHScCYV2NH3CROqH8UrOp33shyphenhyphenOr7nBkIQ8jDseBn5U/s200/DSC00774.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJXM-g0wBqYGAz7Kxp_v21gm-E6icN3bJ72wdcr0NurCpjtG1CFm7Fo8PGfOkVz2uCnvWQQ8EaXyipyrdLEDwanNUHG2GjWZrG_jl89fU7_ad2n38euAzkKAMRO1b-OeL_P17_y7RY_-0/s1600-h/DSC00780.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255356837169011538" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJXM-g0wBqYGAz7Kxp_v21gm-E6icN3bJ72wdcr0NurCpjtG1CFm7Fo8PGfOkVz2uCnvWQQ8EaXyipyrdLEDwanNUHG2GjWZrG_jl89fU7_ad2n38euAzkKAMRO1b-OeL_P17_y7RY_-0/s200/DSC00780.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>The zoo was one of our destinations for my "vacation". During the worst of it, we were partying at Pete and Ashlie's (bless their hearts). These are some pictures that we took when we got back. Most of it had been cleaned up, but we couldn't believe how much damage we still witnesses. The pictures really don't do it justice. Greg and I were out of power for one day coming back, a week after the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">hurricane</span> hit. We were lucky. A few of my classmates didn't have power for over two weeks.</div>Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525141525567164686.post-36938463636947607312008-10-09T19:29:00.001-07:002008-10-09T19:37:42.270-07:00This is officially Sarah's first post!Being out in Houston has been a great experience for our family. While I have been here, I have realized how nice it is to "stay in touch" with everyone. I have really enjoyed keeping up with everyone through these amazing blogs, resulting in my resolution. Instead of 'passing the buck' to Greg, I am posting my first blog entry. Quoting Steven "you baby knows how to work a computer better then you.......", therefore.......don't expect much.Greg and Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15486480259923692536noreply@blogger.com1
