Carson did really good for his first haircut, he seemed to be able to run a lot faster =) He did extremely well, and was even able to hold still better than his Dad =)

Hi everyone, I turned an entire year old today!!!! I've grown so much over the last year and I've done so many things! I remember having to go back to the hospital a couple of days after I was born, so that I could wear some sunglasses and make sure my skin turned a different color! I know my mom and dad were very worried about me, but the people at the hospital took wonderful care of me!! While I'm on the subject of hospitals, my ears kept getting infected =( sad I know.......We'll my doctor finally had enough, and on November 5th, 2010 I had tubes put in both my ears, and also had to have my adenoids (whatever they are) shaved down. I did great during the procedure and the hospital gave my dad free coke!!!!

I was able to travel quite a bit in my first year of life, I'm starting to get the feeling that the places I go will most likely have a University of Utah Football game or a 49ers game to go to. It's a really good thing that I love football!!!!!! So let's see, I went to Vegas with my parents, Dodo, and Pudgy. I hated the pool because it was freezing cold, but loved the show with the knights and the horses. I went to Middle Piney with the Staley family, and stayed in an awesome cabin! I went to San Francisco with my parents and watched the 49ers beat the Rams! I spent some time in California, where I went to Disneyland, Sea World, and the Beach. Yes of course, my parents went to a Utah football game in San Diego without me. I'm fine with it though, it was raining really hard and I don't like to be cold.

I started crawling on September 28th, 2010, and my guess is that I was walking by December. I don't stop talking. I say things like, daddy, mom, hi, what is that, and whenever I see a dog I point and yell "daisy". I love music, and I usually will have at least one timeout during the day! I'm starting to get my first tooth which helps me eat the vegetables that I love!

I want my mom to know that she is the best mom in the entire world, and I'm excited to see what the next year of my life brings. Peace OUT!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was pretty busy for us this year. I had to get a new securities license for work, and basically had my nose in a book the entire holiday season. I thankfully passed that exam on December 23rd, that meant the holidays could finally start!!!!! I was very thankful for all the help my wonderful wife Jessica provided during this time. Here are some photos from the holiday season!!!

The week of November 13th, 2010 we had the opportunity to fly to San Francisco a couple of days early before we joined up with the rest of the family in San Diego. I think Jess and I were pretty worried how Carson would do on an airplane. I'm happy to report that he did GREAT!!!! I really enjoyed being on vacation with my little family! We were able to go see the 49ers beat the Rams in overtime!!! The people at the stadium were really nice to us, one guy even gave Carson a 49ers pin because, "we are raising our kid right!" After the game we spent night down at the pier eating sour dough bread bowls and Ghirardelli chocolate at Ghirardelli Square!

This was just the beginning to a fun packed week. We joined the rest of the family on Monday afternoon and spent the evening at the beach! On Tuesday we went to Sea World, Carson loved the penguins!!!!! I loved the "Shamu Slam"....seriously changed my life, because "you can do anything if you believe!" I have not been to Sea World in such a long time and I can't wait to take Carson back one day!!!!

On Wednesday we went to the beach for some body surfing!!!! It was very cold, but what do you expect???? it's November =). Carson had a great time in the sand, which ended up everywhere.

Thursday we went to the happiest place on earth! Disneyland!!!! I was really grateful that the entire day went at a much slower pace than it usually does. I could recover between rides, and I did not have to ride Space Mountain 18 times in 30 min!!!

The next big event was on Saturday, Utah Vs San Diego!!! GO UTES.....It was raining soooooooo hard. The plan was to take Carson, but Katie was kind enough to keep an eye on him for us. Before the game we ate at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Old Town......by eating at this fine establishment we ensure a Utah win....glad we did that =)

That evening we packed up and drove home through the night so the kiddos could just sleep the entire way home.....bad idea.....

It was a great trip, I hope we can do it again soon!!!!

July part 2

July went by way to fast so here is an overview of our super fun month.

Carson went to the Dr the end of June so he was able to start eating rice cereal. He hated it but now loves it.

4Th of July. One year ago we found out we were prego with Carson what a fast year. Adam it went says it felt more like 4 years than 1 year. Adam took great care of Carson i was working.
We have been swimming. he hates the big open water. he does love his baths.
Adam is such a proud daddy. Carson already like the video games. We went camping for the first time with Carson in middle pinney. we went with my family. thank goodness that we had a cabin to stay in. we had a 5 month old, 2 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. The cabin made it so nice. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great weekend.

Then it was bear lake. It was just a great day. Carson loved being out side all day.

This is what happens when kelli has all of cambree's cute stuff around Carson. It will be funny to see what happens when cambree is old enough to talk Carson in to wearing her dresses and stuff.

Then on July 25 the little man turned 5 months old.

he rolls over on his tummy all the time and gets really mad because he hates his tummy.

he can almost sit up on his own. he is really bad at taking naps but he goes to bed between 830-9 and wakes of at 7. I love it.

Adam asked me at dinner tonight if it was this time last year and he told me that I would have a four month old by now would I believe him. There is no way I would have.

Carson thank you for being such a sweet little guy. Thank you so much for showing me how much love I do have. I didn't think I could love anyone else as much as I love your daddy. My heart just melt when I get a look at your great big smile and your cute little laugh. Carson you love to grab toys. you love your lion and elephant that shake when you pull on them. You also love your bumboo. You hate your tummy time but you love to stand. You talk all day everyday. You make even scream and not even be upset. You rolled over from front to back all by your self last night.I think it was just a fluke. you have Yet to do it again. We love you so much. Sometimes I cant believe that you are truly ours. we hope we can teach you right from wrong. You dad cant stop talking about all the football and video game you to will play together. You dad asked me if one day you might ask him to help you fight a video game boss. So you better ask him at least once.

We decided to go to Vegas first week in June crazy I know they were having a heat wave. First stop was st George. Carson on his was down.
He was a great little traveler. He slept 99% of the time and only got fussy through Provo. His dad is so proud.

Swimming not his favorite thing. he did ok the first few days only because it was like bath water. As soon as they turned off the heaters because of the heat wave he hated every minute of it.

Carson and I both had head colds. yeah crazy 110 out side and we have colds.

On May 9th we blessed Carson. I have to say i was super nervous to bless "The Legend", and also tempted to say that his name was "Carson Legend Gines". Be happy to know that I stayed away from that temption.....It was a great experience to be able to do that for my Carson!!! Here are some photos from that day.

Happy Easter

We had such a great Easter. We went to my parents house on Saturday and had dinner. Sunday I we woke up and got ready (which now take four times longer). Carson got to wear his cute sweater and his awesome shoe.

So here we are two week and one day. I cant believe how much I love this little man. He is everything I thought he would be. He pees all over him self every diper change. He sleeps all day and up all night. Adam has been a fantastic dad he has changed more diper than I have. He stay up at night with Carson so I can sleep some. I have to wake up Carson every 3 hours to feed. It was every 2. We got home on sat feb 27 and went back to the hospital on the 29. Our poor little guy was super dehydrated and jaundiced. Now that he eats he is a ton better and feels better. Here are some super cute pic of the little guy.

Jessica and I have waited a long time for this miracle Legend to come into our arms, and all that waiting and preparation was worth it at the very moment I heard him cry for the first time. I honestly don’t know to describe the feeling of joy that came over me at that very moment.

I guess the next step is figuring out your “legal” name little Legend. I have no Idea why we can’t name you “Legend Keith Gines”, but your mom said no. Get used to hearing that =)

Toby won't leave your mom alone......He puts his head on her belly when she is resting, and follows her around the house when she is not. We saw ultra sound photos of you......After seeing those, I wonder if you’re really an ewok. That may explain why Toby is so protective of you(Toby likes ewoks, cuz he smells like one).

Your Mother and I have been waiting a long time to meet you, Toby is driving me nutz....sooo how about it???? Are you ready yet????

<-----25 weeks

Sorry for the massive delay but here is the update.

I am now 34 weeks prego, and on bed rest. That's right this little guy tried to make an appearance a week ago. A few steroid shots and meds to stop contraction we are now trying to keep him in for at least another 7 days. We really have just under 6 weeks left till our due date.Our mid wife thinks I will be early with everything that has been going on. About 6 weeks ago I has a great friend show up its name was kidney stones. It wasn't to bad I stayed the night in the most uncomfortable bed ever. The best part was I was able to lay there and listened to our little guy move, kick, and get the hiccups. My house also spun for about 2 days from what ever pain meds they gave me.

<--today at 34 weeks.

Then about 4 weeks ago I had another friend come around but it has yet to leave. Gallstones is this great friend. I would so take kidney stones over gallstones. We found out about these when i got really sick at work. Thank goodness I was at the hospital i just went straight up stairs when i couldn't handle the pain any longer. Once again there i was in the most uncomfortable bed, but loving the fact that i could sit a listen to his every move. I have a Dr appointment with a surgeon in about a week to talk about taking out my gallbladder after this little guy shows up.

Now here I am on bed rest with plenty of time to post on my blog. Thanks for reminding me about the blog dad :) I just have to say I love being pregnant.

I Felt Bad, I didn't know "THEY" had a plan

As I sit at work today, I thought to myself...Hey Katie had her birthday on Sunday...I might as well check out the family blog's to see the sappy happy bday posts!!!! I was really excited to be able to make fun of whatever my Mother or Sister wrote....err I mean read how special Katie is to them =)

As to my surprise, neither my mother or my sister had made a post......I started to feel bad for Katie..............and even though my intention was for evil....I now, more than ever wanted to see the sappy posts.

I sent a couple of text messages off trying to save boomer and mom from the tears that Katie would have if she noticed that she did NOT get her sappy bday post.

Well it turns out they were only going to do those posts for a Year......and they started with Katie.......So JOKES ON ME SUCKER.......

The Legend, He’s Getting STRONGER!

it’s about the one below….Our legend!!!!!!!

Today we went in for our 20 week ultrasound, and I am so very thankful that we have a healthy baby boy on the way. It was soooooo amazing, after all we have been through to actually see our little dude jumping around and intercepting balls from Max Hall

Jess and I are so blessed to have this opportunity, and I am very thankful that things are going so well during this pregnancy. It seems like we both have wanted this for so long, and everything just feels so surreal at this point. I can’t wait to be able to hold him in my arms and take him home!

The legend is so blessed to have Jess as a mother, I know she is very strong….she has been through A LOT. She is going to be the best mother to him, and will be there every step of the way. It’s so great to see how happy she is, and excited at the same time!

I want to thank our Heavenly Father for the most amazing blessing we have ever received!!!! What a miracle the Legend is!!!!! I want to also thank my parents and my in-laws for all the support/continued support they have given Jess and I over the years. There have also been the countless amounts of people that were there for Jess or myself just to “listen”, its amazing how helpful that can be when life feels likes its never going to go your way…..

One of these days we will have to move past calling him “The Legend” and actually figure out a name……My only problem is that every name I can think of is either a U of U football player, or someone from a Band. Yes I know I’m pathetic.

Please keep cheering on “The Legend”!!!!!! GO TEAM GINES!!!

Here's to almost 4 years of trying. Lots and lots of fertility drug. Many mood swing and menopause at 24 yrs old. 4 trips to the u of u, and starting the adoption process.

Best part we did this ALL ON OUR OWN.

I took the test at 2 in the morning on the 4th of July. Here is a picture of us on the forth of July after a night of no sleep and trying not to tell anyone. We told my parent when we were 7 weeks and told Adam's the day we left for Oregon i was 8 week at the time.

So here we are 13 WEEKS NOW!!!!

My lips cant be locked any longer. We are so excited, it still does not feel like reality. Adam has been so funny and great while i want to do nothing but sleep my days away. The Gines side of our family called the baby the legend. They all think its a boy and so does our Dr. we hope to find out at the end of the month but if not our big ultrasound is at the end of Oct.

have started a new hobby. When i was little my mom started doing stained glass. We have made big windows and window hanging. We decided one day that why not make jewelry. Its all lead free and hand made. yes my hand did make this stuff we have been to a couple of show. we have done pretty well. So here is a glimpse at our fun stuff.

Yesterday I joined 18 thousand of my friends for a great cause to support the fight against breast cancer. It is very difficult to try and start running when 18 thousand people are packed into one city block, but it does show how many people support the cause, and it was a great experience. Next Saturday Jess and I will be running for another great cause. Please support the Brain Injury Association of Utah! My wife and I will be running for Charlie Cooper If he is not your reason, I'm sure you can find one! We will see you all next Saturday morning!!!

Don't ever give a 30 year old that does not have much to do a pink cape when he finishes a race. He might get home and try to fly....... I am going to chalk this thought process up to the endorphins from the 5K
