Dance-O-Mat
DIY Dance Party. A coin-operated ex-laundromat washing machine powers four speakers which surround a custom-made sprung dance floor. Six years old and still one of the most popular installations in Christchurch! Now in Tauranga and Auckland, too.

Placemaking at One Central wins international Award!
In November 2021 Gap Filler received the Large Scale Project Award from Place Leaders Asia Pacific for Placemaking at One Central, a large-scale placemaking project spanning 5 blocks in partnership with Fletcher Living.

Grandstandium
Gap Filler’s Grandstandium, is a relocatable mini-grandstand launched in October 2015 in time for the Festival of Transitional Architecture (FESTA). The Grandstandium provides seating for 30 atop a trailer and comes with a scoreboard, commentary box and binoculars for added drama.

Super Street Arcade
The world’s first giant, outdoor arcade game system. It’s been a free public amenity 24/7 for more than two years. Get active on the giant joystick console and play a classic-style game – programmed by local developers or high school students as part of their curriculum.
