New Commission List and Pricing for 2025. Also...The $50 DEAL

After 5 years of doing no commissions, I am relaunching and resetting my official commission list with updated pricing.

Anyone on my old (and now defunct) commission list from 2020 who STILL WANTS their commission request: contact me, and I will do my best to get you on and make room. I have to throw away my old list. There is no way I can email tons of people to say "Hi, remember me? from 5 years ago? Do you still want that drawing? oh by the way, my prices are higher." Not fun, and not going to happen.

I have new pricing to better reflect the quality I provide, the rising costs of materials and my desire to earn a livable wage in the current market, so I can ultimately do my best work possible for art buyers. The steeper increases are for color work and extra characters.

To better serve people, I will only take 8 commission slots at a time. But, I will increase a few slots JUST for some people who were on my 2020 list who still want a commission. When my list is full, I will stop requests until I FINISH those 8 commissions (plus any people from the old list who still want a request).

How to commission me:

1. Email me at funrama@gmail.com, give me your request, you don't have to pay upfront.

2. When I'm about to begin your piece, I will ask for payment via Paypal. If you're not ready to pay, I'll move you down the list for a couple weeks.

3. After payment, I'll finish the art in 1-2 weeks depending on difficulty.

4. I only draw popular characters from comic books, cartoons, tv/movie, video games, anime/manga, and literary fiction. I'm open to drawing real-life celebrities. I DO NOT draw your "oc's" (original characters) or real life family, friends and pets. I charge much much more to do those.

ASSASSIN'S APPENTICE III has just been announced. The final series, and conclusion, to our adaptation of the beloved novel by Robin Hobb. The third series (six issues, monthly) launches in comic shops and online retailers with Assassin's Apprentice III Issue #1 on December 11, 2024 by me, Jody Houser, Jordie Bellaire and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Today is the release date for Assassin's Apprentice #1 in comic book shops and online sellers, published by Dark Horse Comics

I feel very privileged to be adapting and drawing this fantasy classic by Robin Hobb for the comic book market. I'll do my best to make long-time fans of this book happy with the comic. I notice when Farseer Trilogy fans talk about Fitz, they sometimes say "Our Fitz" and then I sense the feeling of ownership and affection readers have with this story.

As the artist of the book, I have the easy job. Writer Jody Houser has to break down the entire book and distil it into the comic book story medium. That is not easy. I am joined by Jordie Bellaire on colors; Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou on Letters, and Robin Hobb offers guidance through every step of the project.

There are a few Price increases: the main increase is Color drawing on 9 X 12 inch paper is now $100 (it was $90) and 11 X 17 inch paper is $160 (it was $150). The color inks are expensive and I need the money to cover that.
