All he wants for x'mas...

i must say that Mika is so much braver than me! when i was his age, no, much older actually, i ran out of the dental clinic when my name was called! my mom n the nurse had to chase after me. my god! i ran out again from the room when they tried to put me on that chair! the memory of that still remains so vivid. i am still terrified. i hate the dentist. i really hate it. you know why? blame it on the klinik kerajaan! they 'phobia-ed' me while i was in primary school! the nurses! the pink coloured dental record card with my name! the stupid van! the smell! the dentist! the blood-soaked cotton ball!

Mika's two front baby teeth were wobbly for months. i was afraid that it might affect the growth of his permanent teeth. his four loose front lower teeth wiggled out on their own very quickly. so to the dentist we went one day after school.


he was a good boy. no doubt on this. initially he was scared. who doesnt? anyway i tried my best to reassure him. i want to make his 1st trip to the dentist a pleasant one. i dont want that fear to stay on.

when the nurse called out his name, he stood up. but he went to pee! we laughed! and we waited for him.

he came out. and i smiled at him. he smiled back nervously. we walked into the room together. he held my hands, tightly. he explored a little here and there. the dentist was friendly. then he sat on the long blue chair under the bright lights. didnt fidget a single bit. no trying to run away at all. no crying too. so unlike me! just that he kept on asking me is it done yet endlessly! yes, even with his mouth wide opened! when the dentist was pulling out the 1st tooth...eeew i turned away! i dare not see! the extreme fear still lies in me. i felt bad! my son's so brave and i dont even dare to look at him. i didnt turn back until it was all done! see...i'm a scaredy cat. a big one!

it was an absolute breeze 1st visit to the dentist! i'm glad! guess it wont be a problem for the yearly dental visit after this. just shame on mummy!

Spooky Horrorween...

...at GE mall. it's halloween celebration time again at our favourite neighbourhood mall. Mika missed the haunted house that day. it was closed. anyway, we'll be there again this fri. for the trick-or- treats. and let him visit that house of horror on his own. i'm a scaredy cat. i dont like spooky things! i must dig out his pumpkin pail...he loves collecting candies. but he doesnt like to eat them! good! yeah...just for the fun of it.

Update in a nutshell...

me being lazy at first, then completely lost the urge to write. luckily that's just temporary. here i am...back to my oh-so-mouldy blog! so deserted too!

nothing much actually...just normal stuffs, about mika and anything that i can remember...

about mika...still so into pokemons! also naruto, camp rock and food! still loving food...J&R his favourite at the moment. but not for me. the puking feeling hit me most of the time after that! oh yeah, one fine sunday after brunch at J&R, we went all the way to Mines for the boat ride. mika has been asking me to bring him for quite some time...so there we went. weather was great...not sunny and he enjoyed it so much. he wanted a second round...and of course i said no. it was expensive!

hanging out with his cousin sisters...mika had a nice time playing and blowing candles during the mid autumn festival nite at his grandma's. both my nieces were delighted to see us. the younger niece of mine warms up to me quite easily now. i love to see the smiling cherubic face of my older niece the minute she sees me. she's so happy...i'm her all time favourite aunt. and i love her to bits too. mika loves their company too. also, we met up at ge mall on one public holiday last month and they had a great time! mika made them laughed their heads off with his nonsense and silly acts! my little boy...so full of crap!

the wedding...we made a trip back to ipoh early this month for my good friend's wedding dinner. mika n i attended the church wedding here in kl. everything was so lovely. i didnt bring mika along for the dinner and he cried buckets at my mom's! the crying n sobbing started way before i left for the dinner! and he nearly made his godma cried along too!

on weekends...his favourite is still wii-ing away at our friend's place. plus wii fit now! apart from keeping fit that way, he's still enjoying his football sessions at school. and he started swimming classes last month. he's getting very tan now. cant help it cos lesson is at 1pm every sunday! while he swims, i will be hiding at the cafeteria! and i am trying to keep fit on wii too...not so easy! aches all over me when i started!

nothing exciting...our daily life is so routine...but i prefer it this way. more organised. more rest. everytime after a long weekend or holiday, we'll be so tired out. and be lazy after that!

school final exam begins next week...

not so looking forward to the longest school break...yet!

anyway, will be back soon on mika's 1st visit to the dentist...

always a lovely time...

my sis drove us back to ipoh early saturday morning when the school holidays started. headed straight to have that delicious hakka mee in town. and kopi-o ice was so oomph too...

all hugs n kisses once we got home to my mom's...she's so glad to see her 3grandsons. and not forgetting my brother who was back home too that weekend. the boys started to tear the house down. all i know was that i needed a nap very badly. so whatever deafening noise they made did not bother me! kinda havent slept the nite before after Warren's birthday celebration. cant sleep so i stayed up to watch video till 5am, packed n got ready. Mika slept over at his cousin's. i ended up having all puffy-panda eyes! and it stayed on for days later!

Mika's godma together with Sandee n Aidan came over in the evening. to Indulgence we went for tea, cakes n ice cream...which was not that great! after their treat, godma took Aidan n Mika for a swim at her new place. a splishy-splashy fun time they had. we met up again for lunch but without Mika this time. he wanted to stay home with his cousins! but i brought him to join me n godma for lunch the next day. the dry curry noodles i had was yummy!

apart from eating so much this trip, i did so much of boutique hopping with my sisters and friends. they really shopped n bought a lot. and i did too...but just a little!

the boys were out to play in the rain one very rainy evening. they danced, they rolled, they ran n jumped in the puddle-filled garden! they enjoyed it so much. just my mum was nagging away inside the house! btw...i was the one suggested that they play in the rain. it's fun, dont u think so? so fun...till Mika's pants came off!

before leaving for kl, we met up for breakfast with my good friends and kids. so much to catch up. luckily we had a few hours to do so while the kids were happily playing at McD playland after our dimsum. am glad that Mika enjoyed the time with the pretty girls. as usual, he took some time to warm up to them but it was quicker this time around. it's so good to see our kids playing together, having fun. he does play with girls...after all!

and again, a good time, a great break back in Ipoh. as always!

A date with Chelsea n daddy...

Mika had a fanstastic time at the match and then a late-nite supper at McD last tuesday. a happy night out for him eventhough Chelsea failed to trash M'sia! needless to say, he supported the blues...all the way! and he only talked football when he got home!

while he was watching Chelsea playing Malaysia...i was at El Cerdo, the all-oink-oink place for a 'pig-out' with my friends. we had everything porky and wine. the must-have suckling piglet too! sadly, the food wasnt that porkylicious now. but the banana pancake dessert was yummy.

and we had more wine at twenty-one down the road after that...

mika had a good time and so did I!

Sports Day...

...a super back-dated event!

Mika's school annual sports day at the Stadium Bola Sepak in Bdr Tun Razak last month. the morning started with the traditional march past. colourful and filled with enthusiasm. it was good. after the many weeks of marching practises and all at school!

he took part in the ping-pong ball on a paper plate telematch with 5 of his friends. they represented Mark, the yellow house. Mika was the one to run off to the finishing line. and he came in...last! ha ha ha! a bad start for the Mark's... the ball kept on dropping n dropping...

but still came home with a medal!

he was happy...very happy! so what for finishing last huh? we had a nice time!

maybe next year would be different...i hope!
