Happy Halloween!!!

This Halloween the kids and I went up north so I could work and we stayed one night with my family and Jaxon tried on a bunny costume that did not fit! We got a laugh out of that. Then the kids went to Gma Hansen's for her annual halloween party with the cousins, while I worked. they had so much fun! Mya really enjoys her cousins. We carved pumpkins the week before halloween. both kids were sick and so they just watched, they didn't' want to touch the pumpkin guts. We went trick or treating with our neighbors and friends. I was a deer, Dean and Baylor were hunters and Mya was a butterfly.Baylor would get dean's old toy rifle and say, "chick chick boom" like a real shot gun:) haha

I ventured out and did the face painting all by myself and I felt like for my first time I did pretty good. Mya loved her face so that's all the mattered, and I thought mine was close to the one i copied off pinterest. All in all it was a fun Halloween.

Couples Retreat-Island Park-October 2015

So Bryan and Airiel Adams have access to a cabin for free in Island Park, ID. so one weekend in Oct. we went for 3 nights and 2.5 days to Island Park. Neil Peterson came with us. When we planned all this it was before his wife left him so he was a good sport and came along anyway. It was way fun but I have to admit I can't stay up as late as I used to could. We went to Yellowstone and saw old faithful since Neil had never seen it. We played games ate good food and watched movies and football games, did yoga, ran, and talked. Airiel didn't know what a buttercup was so I tried to get her but I couldn't so I just did it to Dean haha and he did it right back. We went on four wheeler rides and played a little touch football. I accidentally shoved Bryan down and Neil and Dean kept falling in this hole that was there. It was a fun couples retreat and nice to talk with other adults:)

This guy is the best, most handsome husband and father ever in all the existence of the world! seriously I couldn't go through life without him. Mya and Baylor adore him and he is so fun with them. He works from sunup to sundown at Powder River then onto house projects or honeydew lists. He is amazing!! I'm so blessed to share my bed with him:)

ComiCon with Dustin-sept 2015

So Mindy found out when comicon was in SLC and Dustin bought us tickets to go. So we all went on the train to SLC. It was so fun!! Mindy and I were a little out of our comfort zone with all the comic things but Dustin was so in his element! I loved seeing our excited he got. He would yell out characters that he saw dressed up and he would tell people, cool costume! haha we had a blast and I am thinking this will be an annual thing…

Mindy was superman, Dustin was a ghostbuster, and I was harry potter.

The mountains are calling and I must go!

One weekend in September we went camping with my parents up immigration canyon (one of my favorites spots). We must of had cabin fever or something cuz Dean and I were so excited to go. We love the mountains and after not going to Cache Valley for all of August we were missing it pretty bad. We had a fun time going on 4wheeler and can-am rides, we played horse shoes (I won), we sat by the fire, roasted mallows, Mya loved riding her bike on the trails, we played black jack, and the carbon monoxide detector kept going off. It went off when I passed some gas (heeheehee) and when I sprayed hair spray. We survived the weekend so i'm guessing it isn't working real well.

We sure love the mountains and I never really appreciated where I grew up while I was young but I sure do now. The pines and the cozy warm friendly feel of Idaho is something you can't find just anywhere. We can't wait to be back there to raise our kids.

Mya's first day of Preschool 2015

Mya's first day of preschool was sept 1st with On My Way Preschool with Mrs. Kiley Simons. I got a picture of her on her first day with her teacher and one of Baylor crying cuz he wanted to stay and play. I retook her picture the week after because I wanted a better smile on her:) She loves it and doesn't need any help going in and loves her teacher. I hope she always loves to learn.

So while the boys were fishing the girls and the kids some good times…..

Mya loved holding baby Layne, Baylor also was so sweet and careful with him. I went running every morning and got a pretty pic of the barley field. We picked a lot of raspberries! We first picked a bunch in Richmond and made freezer jam, then one day we went to Bloomington and picked Great Gma Ward's bushes we also swung by north beach at bear lake and let the kids play a bit, then we made it back to Richmond to make more jam:) yum! I love the harvest time of year! Geraldine treated Annie and I to pedicures and we did some shopping without kids..it was so nice. we saw Geraldine at the smithfield auction where she works once a week. The kids loved seeing the animals come through. We made lots of yummy food and hung out at the house. It was nice to be productive but yet spend some time doing other things as well.

Mya turned 4 this year! I can't' believe I am old enough to have a child that is 4! We made it simple this year, we invited just a couple neighbors for cake and ice cream then just the 4 of us went to a drive in movie: the minion movie, in MT. Pleasant. They looked so old laying together watching it. They would giggle every now and then at the minions. it was so cute!

Mya:

*loves movies, her friends and cousins

*she can ride a bike

*she starts preschool

*she loves tacos and pizza and anything with sugar

*she plays pretend with her toys: her little toys have to have baths and their towels are washcloths then she lays them out and covers them with the washcloths

*she is very particular in everything that she does and gets easily frustrated if they don't happen the way she wants them to

*She doesn't like to sit down and eat for very long

*she likes to argue and negotiate a lot

*she loves to exercise with me when I do video workouts

*she loves the park and going on walks

*she is 30% in her heighth and 35% in her weight

*she loves brother so much and she also loves to scream at him

*she loves her dad and gets so happy to see him come home and he is the only one that can make her laugh really hard

* we call her "gray tooth hoo ha ha" since her two teeth have died since colliding with Baylor on mothers day

something funny she has said, Baylor was running around just in his diaper and she chuckles then says, "Bayer has a cute diaper bum" haha

Mya is my opinionated, smart, funny, athletic, happy and emotional little girl! I love her company and she has become a bigger helper for me. She is so beautiful and I'm so grateful she is in our family!

Hansen Reunion 2015-Palisades, WY

This year the Hansen reunion was the last week of July at Palisades Lake in WY near Alpine. I used to go camping there with my family every year for basically my whole life, it is a beautiful place. I love the pines and greenness and the western mountains that surround it.

Well, the first night we got there we set up and ate dinner and it was a little rainy, that night was the first night we have slept in a tent with the kids and they did pretty well, the second day we went boating the Reeves and Shalese's in laws brought boats. we tried the wake chair for the first time and it was really hard to get the hang of it (I am sorry I didn't get a pic), something memorable: Wyatt pooped off the dock and into the lake, and my wave runner ran out of gas and we were towed back in. Baylor loved on Dillon and Annie's dog Remmi, they were so cute together. Mya loved being with all her cousins that she loves so much. The next day we boated some more and then packed up to leave. It was a fun reunion and look forward to them every year.

Dean is the hardest worker I know! seriously he amazes me! Up before work, goes to work, works tool late at night. I am so thankful I have him!
So the other night a few of our neighbors, Neil Peterson, Chris Lindquist, and our Bishop Chad Argyle came over one evening (deans loves to work at night) and they helped dean lay sprinkler pipes. Neil ended up staying with Dean until midnight! They are awesome neighbors and friends!

… can't' wait until it's done!!

So through Facebook my friend Claire set up a little get together at Jacob and Ashley Mason's house in Riverton with some of our friends from our Logan married student ward. there were 6 couples and 10 kids between all of us! It was so fun to catch up with everyone and if I could have it my way I would have all my friends from Logan all live in Cache Valley together! :) I seriously love them and feel a closeness with them, maybe it's because during that time span we all went through so much of the same things together. anyway it was a fun BBQ

I have always always wanted a porch swing so this old one of my gma Smiths works great in our big willow tree! We have loved it!

Baylor got new cowboy boots for his bday from my mom and I almost cried when he put them on (it took some persuading) he is like my little boy doll:)

Mya's friend Vivi for her bday invited some of the neighbor girls to go to build a bear and they all got one it was so cute they wanted to wear dresses.

I worked 2 days in june and they were in Richmond for one of them and was good helpers for Geri in the garden picking and shelling peas. I can't wait to have a big garden of our own. I have learned a lot from Geri and her garden:)

Idaho Days 2015

I love Idaho Days! It always reminds me of my grandparents, in 1941my gpa Smith proposed to my gma at Idaho Days and they had their picture taken in a photo booth.

Well, this year Mya sang friday before the start of the softball games the star spangled banner she also sang take me out to the ball game. She did so good, I thought she was going to back out and be too shy but she did amazing!!! she loves to sing and she is so good at it. I love her so much!

Baylor loves the water! he would run in the kiddy pool face first and it didn't even phase him. He is such a goof and we sure love him!

Dean and I played in the softball tournament we didn't get too far but it was still a lot of fun and I'm glad we have something that we both love to do together.

Jaxon, Hunter, and I ran the 5K. My time was 25:51 I twisted my ankle pretty bad the night before playing softball so it hurt when I ran but I still had fun.

The kids rode in the parade in the model T and threw candy. Baylor sat in the front with uncle Jax and loved it.

I also won the best of show and first place in the photo contest in color and black and white. I thought there was a money prize like last year but there wasn't so i was bummed but still excited the at I won.

Baylor's 2nd Birthday

I can't believe my baby is 2!!! We celebrated his bday a little bit on a few different days. Saturday the 13th we went fishing up mink creek and he laughed every time we caught one and he would touch it and giggle! haha then we had cake and ice cream in Franklin at my parent's and we watched Despicable Me on my parent's new projector. It was so fun to be outside all cuddled up. He got cowboy boots, a toy milk truck, tools in a little tool bag and a cowboy shirt.

Then on his bday tuesday I had his room decorated a bit so he woke up to balloons on the floor and streamers on his door then later that day we had cake and ice cream and he opened his presents from us which was 3 toy motorcycles and a little buck and longhorn. we had softball that night so the next day mya and I took him swimming. He loves the water! he hates to have too much help. I was so glad to spend some quality time with them and not be distracted by my everyday duties.

Dean slid/fell into 3rd base and sprained his ankle so bad! It seriously looked like he was obese and it was so black and blue and he could walk normal for a couple weeks. Poor guy and right in the middle of doing the backyard work. Maybe it was a sign to slow down a bit. Man he is such a hard worker and we just love him so much!

Being a part of the temple celebration was really neat. We got to see Easton perform he was right in front of us! and our friend Paula Judd (in the pic with us) sat through rain to save us dang nice seats. she is amazing! Pres Eyring was so cute and all the other apostles and general authorities. I just love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!!

Mya's first year of swim lessons

Mya did her first swim lessons at the Payson pool. Her teacher was a young man from our ward. She made so much progress she goes under water now when before she would cry if she got water in her eyes. She is growing up so fast! my heart filled with joy seeing her accomplish what she did. I love her!
