I saw Breaking Dawn Part Two with Lauren! I had so much fun! And you know what? I totally teared up at the end.
I finished my sewing project in school and I am going to share it with you soon!
I went estate sale shopping! I haven't been in forever!
I bought some art supplies with Lauren earlier this week- Yay art!
I thrifted myself four (4!) pairs of pants! That's right, world. Oakley Seal is not wearing a skirt or a dress today.

Good afternoon everyone! I just wanted to talk about how wonderful yesterday was for a second: Yesterday was my dad's birthday, I finished my sewing project which means that dress I showed you I was going to make? I get to post it as soon as it is graded! I also got to work in AP art and I got a lot done, I got to go shopping for art supplies with my bestest friend, Lauren and we had some good conversations!

I forgot to take good outfit pictures while there was still light. These pictures were a quick few shots at 8:30. I love all of the fun patterns in this dress! I wanted to modernize my vintage dress a bit so I added a leather jacket and my wedge booties. I liked this outfit and it looked tons better.

Today is my Dad's birthday! Happy birthday Dad! I love you!!!! Thanks for taking me out to dinner to celebrate with you!

I have a few pieces in the school display case! Tell me what you think!

The train was my first ever real water color project. It was super fun but really challenging! I would love to work with it more. I just need some brushes!

The mountains are unfinished, so maybe I will add some detail when I get it back! This painting was really bizarre. With legs coming out of a planet, pearls in the galaxy and a mushroom cloud coming out of a cat's head, I am sure I can put this in the top five strangest pieces I have done yet.

I really feel inspired by embroidery today so I want to tell you why I want to learn so badly:

I want to learn how to embroider because it is another lost art!
Embroidery is so beautiful
I want to frame my work and hang it in my room
It would help with my hand stitching in sewing
I could embroider a pair of jeans
How many people can wear jeans and say they embroidered them?
I want a cool hippie dress to embroider
I would use embroidery in my paintings and drawings- cool, right?
I want to design my own clothes and embroidering them would really be so cool!
It would make me feel more old fashioned, which is my style exactly.

With college coming up soon and all the emails from colleges I have been getting, I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the careers I would choose:

I would love to own a vintage clothing store
I think it would be so cool to be an artist
I would like to be a fashion designer-watch out, Project Runway!
I would like to maybe teach art in high school or elementary school.
Earning money through sponsors on my blog would be a dream come true!
I would love to sell things I make on Etsy, along with vintage clothes
I would teach sewing in a high school.

I can't really think of any more right now, but maybe I will come back and add more later!

Daylight savings time. Everyone in my house was walking around the house at 8:30 p.m. exhausted looking for something to do. I crocheted part of a cowl and cleaned out my room.

I got this skirt over the weekend in St. George! My grandpa was nice enough to lend me the money for it since I forgot to cash in my paycheck before we left. Thank you Grandpa! I will pay you back the next time I see you!

My grandma and sister had a birthday this past week so my family went to St. George to celebrate!

I came home with some pretty amazing clothes!!! Thanks Renae, Grandma, and Grandpa!

My aunt Renae thought I looked somewhat British in my sweater and shoes so I had to get a picture with the telephone booth! Oh, if only it were blue. That would have made my dreams come true!

We saw the Beegees! Oh my word I want to buy all of their songs! It was so fun!

This week was end of term. It was sooo stressful!
I had a bug AP Art project due. I stayed up until 3 a.m. finishing it.
It snowed on my AP Art project. Now there's a mystery blob on it.
It snowed. This is horrible!
I bought fabric for my sewing project I am competing with. I know I said no hints but I will give you one: SIX YARDS
My sister has her first-ever cheer competition this morning! Good luck Avery!
I have kept my room clean all week. This is huge for me on it's own but it is even better because I have been so busy!

Weekly Craft: Crocheted Backpack!!!

I really hope I haven't talked up my backpack too much. I was just so excited that my very first crochet project is finished. Yes, I finished others before this but... This is the project I learned how to crochet with.

It is just my style, too. I love the colors and the fact that I made up the pattern on my own. I think I have the bug because I want to make so many more!

What do you think? Do you like it? I may be a bit proud.

I made a hat! It took me only two hours! Yes! Today feels like a success. Next on my list is slippers! I found a picture I like but the pattern costs money that I don't want to spend. So I will make it up instead!

My friend told me that it was supposed to snow yesterday. I am so glad it didn't! I would love the excuse to start wearing my vintage furs but the cold so soon isn't worth it!

Yesterday I got fabric for a 1950s dress pattern! I am in FCCLA and I plan on competing in the clothing construction section with it! Am I excited? YES! Do you get to see it? Not for a couple months!

We turned the heater on in our house for the first time this season. I am not sure how I feel about it. I am excited to wear warm clothes and wrap myself up in huge blankets while I crochet and drink hot chocolate but... It is cold.

I want to share what T.V. shows I am currently loving with you guys!

Mad Men- I cannot believe it took me this long! I am still on season one!
Adventure Time- Yes, I am one of those people.
Project Runway- I want to be on that show one day!
Gallery Girls- I think New York would actually be a super cool place to live. I like how it is about girls that work in art galleries but my favorite is to see the girls that own a clothing and art boutique. I hate the drama!
Once Upon a Time- Fairy tales rock!
Bling it on- It is a new show about a seamstress that makes crazy blinged out dresses.
Victorious- It is a great kids show. I have the personality of a child, therefore, I love it.
America's Next Top Model- More fashion. I love it so much! It makes me wish I could be a photographer or model.
Doctor Who- I saw it when my best friends Lauren and Lauren made me watch it. I thought it was so stupid and silly that both of my friends watched it. I am an addict now.
Pan Am- The show got cancelled. The show about 1960s airline stewardesses GOT CANCELLED!!! I am so upset.
