You have the right idea Jen, forgiveness, bless the experience, and let it go. It's not easy, but it's the way. I don't know if there's more to this that's none of the public's business, but as it stands now, you should give some thought to the idea that perhaps someone wanted it so bad they would go to such an extreme to have it. Who would steal garbage? I paint, and I'd be flattered, as well as violated, outraged, infuriated, hurt, disgusted...! Cold comfort for you, but I hope some comfort, nonetheless...

Glad you are moving on.. it is hard to do but
important. I had my house broken into and
things stolen and it was hard to let go and would have been even harder if it was artwork I had
made. Sending you good energy for new work!

Sorry if this comes off as dim...Is this show Art & Lair's show? Do you create these collections for end users? I have a client who has a big blank wall and wants to have a salon style installation but she doesn't know where to start. I usually don't purchase art for clients as it's so subjective but would like to help get this started.

I could not agree more! This was our first summer in Seattle and after growing up in FLA (land of the endless summers) this was by far the fastest summer ever. Beautiful but fleeting.
