• a shortish end to the honey trilogy, which needs guidance on some specific real-world logic;
• a longer work I'm excited about where Arthur works at a firing range (I know enough about firing ranges but it needs a good amount(?) of story guidance input);
• and a D/s lawyer AU I'm writing with Liz which needs story guidance.

If any of you are interested in any of these, please let me know. ♥ I was hesitant at first to offer to beta in return, because I'm not sure how useful I am, but I've done it before (as well as readthroughs and editing) and will be happy to do so.

I'd been working on a "romance novel cliche" fic, on the fluffier side of things (tending toward the romantic comedy genre; they're not all bodice-rippers out there) and I posted it yesterday: Sign Here (on A03), in which Arthur's an art dealer who hasn't found the time to date in a while, and Eames is the deliveryman/artist who might like to show Arthur his etchings. 14,197 words. Written with the Arthur/Eames Romance Tropes Fest in mind.

My paid account on LJ expires soon. Is it still true that basic accounts only have six icons (and does it count if you have any ~loyalty icons~ or whatever), and can you not expand comments? Or did they change that recently? (I don't trust the FAQ to be up-to-date)

I got a Wacom Bamboo Create electronic tablet. I can't wait to have some time to play around with it and look through the tutorials and manual. I'm totally new to tablet use.

Arthur shimeji (desktop "toy" ) for PC (don't know if there's a Mac version) EDIT: Mac conversion instructions in comments!

Some of the things Arthur will do:

• sit quietly
• think about Eames
• think about Eames *a lot* (although he tries to shoo away the thoughts) until he gets flustered
• get startled and blush when Eames shows up to give him kisses
• walk around and sulk
• get angry when you drag him around with your cursor
• climb up the sides and along the top of your desktop, looking determined
• multiply via boxes misleadingly labeled "Suits"

EDIT: To get rid of all but one Arthur, right-click the die and select the third option down. To drop another Arthur in, right-click the die and select the first option. The second option will make Arthur go and sit at the bottom of the browser near your cursor, or as Liz says, "the second option on the menu is 'sit your ass down and think about eames.'" I am not sure what the fourth option does? Apparently it gives you back control if the shimeji take over your windows. The last one exits the program. Another EDIT: night_reveals says, "Also, if you right-click Arthur himself, you can say "はいはい" which just means 'yes, yes' and it'll shoo that one away! :D Just in case there gets to be too many but you don't want all of them to die ;____;" Another EDIT: night_reveals has a tutorial on how to customize your shimeji here!

I'm hearing that if someone deleted their journal but chose the option to keep existing comments in place (rather than deleting everything? I haven't deleted a journal so I don't know how it works), under the new system, even those comments are gone.
