Ms Chiang is an established Business Analytics practitioner with expertise in guided analytics, analytic data mart development and business planning. Prior to her current position as VP, Business Insights, at Wunderman Data Management, Ms Chiang consulted with Aspirent on numerous analytic projects for several multi-national clients including IHG, Coca Cola among others. She has also worked for multi-national corporations including Telecommunications Systems of Trinidad and Tobago, Acuity Brands Lighting, BellSouth International and Portman Overseas.
MS Chiang is experienced in designing and developing Analytic tools and management dashboards that inform, matter and drive action. She is highly skilled in data exploration, analysis, visualization and presentation and has developed solutions in Telecom, Hospitality and Consumer Products industries covering customer experience, marketing campaigns, revenue management and web analytics.
Ms. Chiang, a native of New Orleans, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, summa cum laude with University honors (4.0), from Louisiana State University, as well as a MBA from Tulane University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Mensa. Among the first wave of Americans to enter China following normalization of relations, Ms Chiang lived in northeast China under challenging conditions for two years teaching English, learning Mandarin Chinese and traveling extensively throughout China. Over her career, she has worked in the United States, Caribbean, UK, Latin America, and China.

As a management consultant, then head of analytics, and now, commercial leader, I’ve seen the constant challenge of having an ocean of data and a limited ability to leverage that data into commercially meaningful insights and outcomes. Clearly, there is a big gap in most organizations internal methods and processes to utilize their internal data. Several weeks ago, our Head of Strategy handed copies of this book out to several of us. Needless to say, I took to the book immediately. Now, not all of the methods outlined in the book are new, but the way that the authors bring together several methods (e.g., decision arch, agile analytics, dashboard development) make the approach unique. In reading (and re-reading) this book, I believe that it provides a powerful, yet practical, approach to leverage data to drive revenue. I have already purchased an additional eight copies for my team and highly recommend this book to others.

I am very surprised to find that the eight reviewers before me all rated this book a five star. Whilst I appreciate the authors' intention to teach readers the use of data or analytic in daily business, as a marketing veteran who had gone through SAS and Tableau in Telcos for over a decade, I am obliged to comment that the book is so high level and conceptual despite the many questions and jargon in it. Buyers beware!
