The Trump administration has been ordered to stop construction on a $400 million ballroom.  

The massive ballroom is being built on the site of the White House's demolished East Wing.

The federal appeals court says each president is only a temporary tenant and needs approval from Congress.

Australia's consumer watchdog has launched an inquiry into misleading food labels.

It comes after an ABC Four Corners investigation into food fraud.

Laboratory testing found some products did not match their labels, were of lower quality or included cheap additives.

The airline will charge passengers to stow carry-on luggage in overhead lockers from next year.

Only a small under-seat bag will be allowed at no extra cost.

The cost will start at $25 per domestic one-way flight, while the add-on could be an extra $52 for an international flight.

Alan Jones has gone on trial accused of indecent assault and sexual touching.

Six young men allege he engaged in inappropriate conduct.

Mr Jones denies the charges.

His defence says the case is about media rivalry and treachery.

European football body UEFA has threatened legal action over FIFA president Gianni Infantino's failed plan to sell a stake in future World Cup profits.

The plan would have raised $US4.2 billion ($5.9 billion) by selling about 20 per cent of a new unit that would run events, including the World Cup.

UEFA led the backlash against Mr Infantino, with its 55 member federations agreeing to boycott all FIFA events and competitions while the proposal was active.
